Happy Birthday, Tom!

What's up with the snow coming down today?? You say Iowa has two seasons, October and disgusting -- now, I'm not so sure that we're not down to just one..

I hope you're having fun with Bill, please say "hi" from us all. We think of you always.

The picture is from Copenhagen, outside a cafe in Bredgade, this July. We had a great time, once we adjusted to the rainy summer days again. We went sailing on the Canals and spent lots of time with everyone there.

We really miss you. Bebbe and Finn are here and we're having a really good time; they have been here a week and go back next Sunday. This morning Eva bought cloth to make a sleepover bag, and Sara started on a new batch of pot holders.

Next week is ITBS week, and they're both looking forward to it. Sara's first trimester in JH ended great with her strongest percentage in pre-alg., and Eva's is really enjoying being in the oldest grade at Lincoln with the big sister there. She started in Iowa City Girls' Choir this September.
Thinking of you, missing you. Love, PW.

Happy Birthday Uncle Tom!

I was hoping to send my wishes before midnight as I've been thinking of you all day, but just got home from work.

We miss you. I was just thinking of some of my memories of you...crazy socks for Christmas were the best of course.

I remember when you lived with us for awhile and cooked up some damn good beef stroganoff. I had never had it before you made it for us.

Were you a fan of Mr. Ed? I found myself whistling it a couple days ago and Jeff chipped in singing, "and no one can talk to a horse of course..." I remember that show playing when we were little and that horse's goofy teeth and for some reason, I think you were there most of the time when it was on.

Miss you lots and thinking of you always...

With love,
Karen
