Thanks to everyone who stopped out for the baseball game tonight. We were very happy to see you all, and I think Jimmy's 3 for 3 night at the plate was directly related to the support. Ellie can take credit for the first 2 hits. Nothing like a "Go Jimmy" to get your relaxed in the batter's box.
La Crescent blew the game open in the 4th with a grand slam (among other things), so the outcome was not so good. But I'm sure Jimmy will remember tonight for many years.
Thanks.

Inspiration

With the race coming up this weekend you're probably asking yourself, "Just what the he-- was I thinking signing up to run a race in April?". The snow has barely melted, there's only been a couple of warm days, and there's been no good chance to do any training.
Maybe you've tried to run a little despite the late Spring. But it feels like you have Eric Gagne on your back, doesn't it?
So you tell yourself its just a "fun run". But we all know there's nothing fun about run.
Well, if you're feeling sorry for yourself, be inspired by the fact that our brigade leader (Bill) ran the Chileda Classic 5K and the Oktoberfest 5 mile the year after his bypass. Yes, two races post bypass without the use of HGH. So even if you have to give Eric that piggy-back ride, just tell yourself you can do it.
Suck it up, and we'll see you at the finish.

He's on a roll...

Joe was named Athlete of the Month for the month of March at Central. Here is the info that goes with the picture:
Central Coaches select an Athlete of the Month for their sport based on the following criteria: Work Ethic, Leadership, Contribution to the Team’s Success, Character, and Preparation for Success. The Athlete of the Month program was started in 1997 and each year nearly 100 student/athletes from all sports are recognized for their efforts and contributions to the Athletic Program.
Baseball – Joe Branson, Gr. 12: Joe has done a great job of leading by example. He continues to work hard and his focus is something to be proud of.
