Followed by Jon and Rachel. Its a friggen Appleton sweep the likes of which have not been seen since Harry Houdini left town.
For those of you in the contest, you will have noticed it was a topsy-turvy battle. The Appletonians rose from the bottom half of the standings because of the final. Due to some genetic mishap, they all picked North Carolina to win the tourney. The only other possible winner would have been Jimmy if his MSU-all-the-way strategy would have panned out.
Now for the prizes. There are 6 units to award (one per participant not finishing in the top 3).
- 3 units go to Pat (Dick, Diane and Mark pay)
- 2 units go to Jon (Mike and Jimmy pay)
- 1 unit goes to Rachel (Tim pays)
So all that remains is for the winner's to name their unit (don't take that literally boys) i.e. pick their poison.
As I said before, for us losers, this is a great excuse to avoid your relatives.

For one thing Pat you should not have one and for another thing, this goes to all three of you, who would pick UNC you had to have had the tournement rigged. Any way congrats and i am glad i dont have to pay a unit.
Surprisingly we all came up with North Carolina independently, so it must be genetic. I guess the rest of you must have some sort of mental disability (sorry “bracket challenged”).
Rachel and I will be seeing you at the walk in a couple of weeks we will collect then. I’m glad you assigned Tim to pay Rachel, he sent an email and told me he had a 6 pack or Red, White and Blue light for me.
As for my unit of choice, that would be Killians Red. Jonathon will not be there to pick his up so I will for him. Coincidently he also would like Killians Red.
And Veronica, next year fill out a bracket and win and then you can talk smack.
I will do my best Houdini for you all and make your beer disappear.
So funny story, my choice is also Killian's Red, and I picked that before I even saw what they picked. Must be a genetic thing. Can't wait til my 21st birthday when I can finally consume alcohol!!
And might I add that after sitting in last pretty much throughout the entire tournament, I still managed to squeak out third place. Mwahahaha
Genetic mishap is right thing to explain this. Pat, if I pay you one unit does that allow me to withhold a unit of blood when you really need it?
PS You all picked NC because Obama picked them and you would follow him anywhere!
